February 1st - February 3rd: Dingle Peninsula Storm Festival
- A festival dedicated to the more rugged elements of the Dingle Peninsula. Activities include storm walks, storm swins, photography exhibits, treasure hunts, etc.
February 14th: Valentines Day
- Romance fills the air in Dingle!
February TBA: Dingle Walking Festival
- The Dingle Peninsula has long been considered a walkers' paradise and this February its magnificent scenery and rich cultural heritage will take centre stage for the Dingle Walking Festival.
- Walks included in the festival will take in some of the region's most spectacular areas such as Mount Brandon, Conor Pass and the Saints Road.

February 15th - February 17th: Paidi O Se's Gaelic Football Weekend Competition
- The annual Paidi O'Sé Gaelic football tournament takes place locally in the West Kerry Gaeltacht. Mens and Ladies clubs from locally, nationally, and internationally descend on the Dingle Peninsula to compete in Senior, Intermediate, and Junior competitions.

February 20th - February 24th: Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh
- Hundreds of people of all ages and nationalities descend on the Dingle Peninsula to attend the annual Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh series of traditional Irish music classes, concerts and sessions.

March Dingle Peninsula Events
March 17th: St. Patricks Day
- Saint Patrick's Day celebrations in Dingle start with a bang at 6 a.m. with Dingle's Fife and Drum band leading the townspeople on a musical parade around Dingle Town. This early morning parade finishs up in St. Mary's Parish Church where an early morning mass is celebrated.
- At 1 p.m. a multi-coloured Saint Patrick's Day parade starts at Dingle hospital and follows a route around Dingle Town.
March 21st - March 24th: Dingle Film Festival
- The Dingle Film Festival will feature screenings, interviews with international film-makers, workshops, and competitions.

March 22nd - March 23rd: Animation Dingle
- Industry and third level participants join together to celebrate the best in class of animated content. The event is made up of conferences, screenings, workshops, and of course the International Student Animation Awards.

March TBA: Féile an Leith Triuigh
- Run in conjunction with Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Language Week), the féile is a celebration of the Irish language, local heritage and the beauty of the local landscape. The array of events, held over a fortnight, include the launch of a local folklore and genealogy exhibition and much more besides.

April 19th - April 22nd: Easter Bank and Public Holiday Weekend
April 23rd - April 28th: Pan Celtic Festival
- The Pan Celtic Festival is an eventful week with Music and Dance, Parades, Club Nights, Seminars, Competitions, Children's Easter Camp, Teenager's climbing course, Teenager's disco, Set-dancing workshops, Sean-nós singing workshops, Irish language lessons, Celtic language lessons, Drumming workshops, Lace-making workshops, Pottery making workshops, Puppet-making workshops, and much much more.

April 27th: Ride Dingle - Cycling Sportif
- 120km and 55km cycle routes on the majestic Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head, supporting local charities in and around Dingle. Ride Dingle will start and finish in Dingle town.

April TBA: Circuit of Kerry Rally comes to Dingle
- The eagerly awaited Circuit of Kerry Rally takes place in the Dingle Peninsula. The classic stages of the Slea Head Drive and Brandon Creek are famous with all motor enthusiasts. Slea Head in particular is a great test of skill and nerve for any driver with nothing but fresh air and a drop in to the Atlantic Ocean on their right hand side for most of it. This stage also has one of the only water ford crossings on any stage in Irish rallying.

May 31st - June 3rd: Bank and Public Holiday Weekend
June 8th: Dingle Adventure Race
- Biking over the spectacular winding Conor Pass, following in the footsteps of St Brendan climbing Ireland's second highest Mountain range Mt Brandon, running country roads of the peninsula and kayaking in Dingle Harbour.

June 12th - June 15th: Dun Laoghaire to Dingle Yacht Race
- The Dun Laoghaire to Dingle Yacht Race is a bi-annual 280 mile offshore race organised by the National Yacht Club Dun Laoghaire and Cumann Badoiri Naomh Bhreannain since 1993. This is a tough upwind race which is a test of crew and boats which passes some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Ireland.

June TBA: International Tom Crean Festival
- A three day festival to celebrate and commemorate local and national hero, polar explorer Tom Crean, is held in neighbouring Annascaul village.
July Dingle Peninsula Events
July TBA: Maharees Regatta
- The Maharees Regatta's annual naomhóg racing is held just north of Dingle Town in the scenic Scraggane Bay. The regatta attracts crews from counties Galway and Clare as well as local crews from all around the Dingle Peninsula.
July TBA: Féile Ceoil an Leith Triuigh
- There will be some well known musicians , singers and storytellers at this traditional and folk music festival in neighbouring Cloghane Brandon. There will also be music workshops and sessions in the local pubs and other venues.
July TBA: Castlegregory Summer Festival
- One of the longest running village festivals in the county, running since 1948, Castlegregory summer festival is an event for all the family. With a five day programme packed full of events such as, queen selection, dances, treasure hunts, family fun day, farmers market, art exhibitions, bar exemptions and much much more!! Fun for all ages, locals and visitors alike!
July TBA: Béal Bán Horse Races
- The annual Béal Bán Horse Races are held on the beach beside Ballyferriter village just west of Dingle. A great day of fun is always guaranteed on the shores of Dingle Peninsula's Smerwick Harbour.
July TBA: West Kerry Agricultural Show
- West Kerry's annual Agricultural Show takes place in Dingle Town. The agricultural show features cattle, sheep, and horses as well as arts, crafts, cookery displays and showjumping for children.
July TBA: Ventry Regatta
- The Ventry Regatta's annual naomhóg racing is held just west of Dingle Town in the picturesque setting that is Ventry Harbour. Ventry Regatta is one of Ireland's oldest regattas and is renowned in song and story, particularly in the classic writings of the great Blasket Island authors. Side events such as a Feis, horse shoe throwing, sandcastle building and entertainment for children also feature.

July TBA: Féile Lughnasa (Festival of Lughnasa)
- Féile Lughnasa (Festival of Lughnasa) is a revival of an ancient pre-Christian celebration of the harvest that is held annually just north of Dingle Town in the Cloghane/Brandon region.
- In a nod to the historic customs of Lughnasa, which was traditionally held on a hilltop, one of the highlights of the festival is the ascent of Mount Brandon with music and poetry reading at its peak.
- Other events in this community based festival include a Hi Breasal production of a John B. Keane play and a fancy dress parade. A farmers market, street entertainers, open air dancing, sheep shearing, dog trials, traditional meat pies, face painting, music, song and poetry readings are other examples of just some of what is on offer, along with great music sessions in the local pubs.

August 2nd - August 5th: Bank and Public Holiday Weekend
August 2nd - August 8th: Féile Lios Póil (Lispole)
- Féile Lios Póil (Lispole) is held just east of Dingle Town in the quaint village of Lispole. The festival features something for all ages, including arts, crafts, Irish dancing, a table quiz, a car treasure hunt, gaeilic football competitions, tug of war competitions, sheep shearing, athletics and hill walking.
August 9th - August 11th: Dingle Horse Racing Festival
- The Dingle Races is one of Ireland's oldest horse race meetings and holds a deep and proud tradition. The Dingle Horse Races is Ireland's biggest flapper meeting. Set in a most scenic location, the magnificent Ballintaggart Course enjoys a spectacular panoramic view of both Dingle Bay and Dingle Harbour and is an ideal venue for a family outing.
- Many well-known personalities and politicians have visited the Dingle Horse Races over the years including Ted Kennedy, Bob Dole, Julia Roberts, Aiden McGuire, Charlie Haughey, Alan Dukes, Mary Black, JP McManus, and Bertie Ahern.

August TBA: Blessing of Dingle's Fishing Fleet (Maritime Festival)
- The annual blessing of the boats ceremony gets underway at St. Mary's Parish Church where Dingle's Fife and Drum band lead a parade down to Dingle pier. A multi-coloured spectacle awaits the marchers as all fishing vessels, pleasure boats, Fungi boats, and yachts are decked out in flags and buntings. Mass is celebrated on the pier and then the boats form a procession out to Dingle's harbour mouth where a wreath is laid on the placid waters of Dingle Bay in honor of the many who have lost their lives at sea over the years.
August TBA: Dingle Regatta
- The Dingle Regatta's annual naomhóg racing is Kerry's biggest naomhóg racing event. Crews from all over Ireland come to Dingle Town to race their rivals in the placid waters of Dingle Bay. Music and song is always abundant in Dingle Town for the regatta.
August TBA: Baile na nGall (Ballydavid) Regatta
- Baile na nGall (Ballydavid) Regatta Regatta's annual naomhóg racing is held just west of Dingle Town in this picturesque West Kerry Gaeltacht fishing village.
August TBA: Brandon Regatta
- The Brandon Regatta is held just north of Dingle Town in Brandon village. Brandon regatta is a series of traditional curragh (boat) races with many different categories. Contesting boat teams travel right up the west coast of the Dingle Peninsula. Winners and losers alike celebrate with music and song afterwards.
August TBA: La Solitaire du Figaro Yacht Race
- The very prestigious La Solitaire du Figaro international single-handed yacht race will again be including Dingle as a stage venue for this year's event. The 1,898-nautical mile race between France, Spain, and Ireland is regarded as one of the toughest yachting events in Europe and over three weeks proves a real test of skill and endurance for the competing sailors. The Dingle stop-off brings some of Europe's top sailors to West Kerry. Each year the race is a highly successful and memorable occasion that creates a wonderful festival atmosphere in Dingle Town. The crews will be based in Dingle Town for four days.
September Dingle Peninsula Events
September 7th: Dingle Marathon - Irelands Most Scenic Marathon
- The
Half Marathon
is exactly 13.1 miles and heads off in the direction of Ventry to Slea head and finishes near Dunquin. It is a challenging half marathon with a lot of hills and twists and turns. The scenery is truly breath taking with magnificent views of the Blasket islands. The finish in Dunquin is provided with refreshments and a bus service is laid on to take you back to Dingle for the celebrations.
- The
Full Marathon
travels 26.2 miles around the spectacular Dingle peninsula. It has all the half has to offer but much more. After continuing on from Dunquin, the spectacular scenery continues to keep the spirit alive. Once you are through the beautiful village of Ballyferriter, your journey continues on with some very special views of Murreagh. An extremely tough part of the course lies ahead, with a number of gruelling up hills. Once you have conquered this section, you will be at a point where you can see over the entire landscape, the finish line is in the distance with a long straight home. The full marathon is a tough run, it has a lot of challenging sections. It is however a hugely rewarding achievement.

Ultra Marathon
will run over the spectacular Connor pass and will then join up with the Full Marathon, representing a distance of over 40 miles. It is a truly spectacular run for those willing to put themselves to the ultimate test.

September TBA: Dingle Traditional Irish Music Festival
- Dingle Tradfest is Ireland's newest innovative Trad-Fusion Music Festival. The festival provides a platform for both National and Internationally acclaimed performing artists to showcase modern and original talents within the usually more traditional environment that is the Dingle Peninsula. Included in the festival is a series of night-time and lunchtime concerts as well as an music session trail and some outdoor events including a session on the top of Mount Brandon. The goal of the festival is to promote Irish music in a new and unique way and one of the highlights of this will be the Saturday night Traditional Irish music disco.

September TBA: Ballinclare Sheep and Horse Fair
- Ballinclare horse fair in Annascaul is said to be the oldest sheep and horse fair in Ireland. As well as livestock there is plenty to entertain, including children's entertainments, a pet show, stalls selling merchandise, live music, the famous Mutton Pies, various sheep shows etc. People come from all over Ireland and gather to enjoy the atmosphere of the day and buy and sell animals.
September TBA: Inch Polo Festival
- Inch Polo Festival is the world's largest beach polo festival and brings polo teams and ponies from around the world to play polo on the beautiful flat sands of the Dingle Pennisula's Inch Strand.
- Tournaments take place along the 3 miles of beach separated into up to six full length fields. Bounded on one side by the sea and on the other by the dramatic mountains of the Dingle Penisular, the sands provide a perfect playing surface: firm and light playing where the ball rolls fast and the ponies grip to the surface like glue. This is one of the world's only beach tournaments played with a grass ball on full length fields.
October Dingle Peninsula Events
October 4th - October 6th: Dingle Peninsula Food and Wine Festival
- Probably the highlight of Dingle's event's calendar. The First Annual Dingle Peninsula Food and Wine Festival took place in 2007 and was a roaring success and the festival has gone from strength to strength ever since! The annual Dingle Food and Wine Festival includes a series of cookery demonstrations, special menus in restaurants, a food market, a cheese and wine exposition, wine seminars, and culinary trails. It is undoubtedly one of the best weekends to visit Dingle is you are a food and wine lover with a fantastic atmosphere throughout the entire town.

October 25th - October 28th: Bank and Public Holiday Weekend (Halloween)
October 25th - October 27th: Annascaul Walking Festival
- The Annual Annascaul Walks Walking Festival takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend. The festival offers a variety of guided coastal and hill walks in and around the village of Annascaul.

December TBA: Other Voices Music Festival
- Other Voices returns to its spiritual home in Dingle for another intimate weekend of music from some of Ireland's and the world's finest musicians. Over the years, Other Voices has welcomed some of the world's most eclectic music-makers and captured on film scores of unique, one-off live performances. Household names and raw new talent journey from across the globe and over a few wintery days and nights create musical magic together on the world's coolest miniature sound stage, St. James Church. Over 100 gigs and talks will take place over three days in Dingle.

December TBA: Féile na Soilse
- Féile na Soilse (Festival of Lights) officially kicks-start the Christmas festivities in Dingle with street concerts, choral competitions, craft and food markets, activities for the kids, etc. The ever popular children's Parade of Light and lighting of the Dingle Christmas Lights is a highlight.
December 25th: Christmas Day
- Dingle takes some time out and enjoys the seasonal festivities.
December 26th: Wren's Day
- Dingle Wren boys take to the street in a blaze of colour continuing an unique and unbroken folk tradition that was for many centuries practised in most parts of Europe. The Dingle Wren is a memorable day of marching, music and dance. Dingle Town is a hive of activity as Dingle's Wren Boys bring an explosion of colour and boisterous exuberance that is welcome in the midst of winter's gloom.
December 31st: New Year's Eve
- At 9pm the annual fireworks dsiplay lights up the sky over Dingle Harbour.
- Close to midnight, all locals and visitors converge at "The Bridge" for the begining of the countdown to the New Year. Dingle's Fife and Drum band then leads a parade around down after the countdown.
